KATHMANDU : Ather Energy has launched a new variant of its electric scooter, the Rizta Z LR, in Nepal.
Vaidya’s Energy, the authorized distributor of Ather in Nepal, introduced the new variant at the ongoing NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026. Priced at Rs. 379,900, the Rizta Z LR is the most affordable variant in the Rizta Z lineup in Nepal.
The new variant gets a 2.7 kWh battery pack with IPX7 water and dust resistance. Ather claims a range of up to 123 km on a full charge. Using a home charger, the battery takes around 4 hours and 10 minutes to fully charge.
It is powered by a 4.3 kW motor with an IP66 rating. The scooter has a top speed of 80 km/h and can accelerate from 0-40 km/h in 4.7 seconds.
The Rizta Z LR features a touchscreen TFT display with Ather app connectivity, navigation, live location sharing, WhatsApp previews, Magic Twist, theft and tow notifications, and Find My Scooter.
Other features include full-LED lighting, riding modes, parking assist, auto hold, regenerative braking, OTA updates, ABS, disc brakes, alloy wheels, telescopic front suspension, monoshock rear suspension and voice interaction.
