KATHMANDU: Customers can get a discount of Rs 300,000 on the MG HS Hybrid SUV during the ongoing NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026.
Paramount Motors, the authorized distributor of MG vehicles in Nepal, is offering the discount on both the HS Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV) and Hybrid (HEV) versions during the expo.
The official price of the MG HS PHEV is Rs 13.999 million, while the HEV is priced at Rs 11.999 million. Under the NAIMA discount offer, the HS PHEV can be purchased for Rs 13.699 million and the HS HEV for Rs 11.699 million.
Customers will also receive one year of Auto Plus insurance free of charge.
The MG HS is powered by a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine paired with a 135 kW electric motor. The combined output stands at 295 bhp.
The hybrid SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 kmph in 6.1 seconds. The combination of the petrol engine and electric motor also provides smooth performance.
The biggest attraction of the MG HS PHEV is its electric driving range. The company claims an official electric range of 120 km. Various tests have recorded a pure EV range of more than 110 km.
The MG HS Hybrid is also claimed to produce only 12 grams of carbon emissions per kilometer. By comparison, an average petrol car emits around 17 kg of carbon while traveling 100 km.
Another strong point of the MG HS is its spacious interior. It offers a 507-liter boot space, which is among the largest in its segment. The dashboard features two 12.3-inch screens.
The SUV also comes with 19-inch alloy wheels, heated leatherette seats, a 360-degree camera and keyless entry. Other features include ventilated front seats, a head-up display and wireless smartphone charging.
Paramount Motors provides a warranty of five years or 100,000 km for the motor and eight years or 150,000 km for the battery, whichever comes first.
