KATHMANDU: Chery is set to officially launch its new Fengyun T7 electric SUV in China on August 26. The compact SUV is available for pre-order in three variants, with prices ranging from $15,300 to $18,100.
The Fengyun T7 features a streamlined exterior with dual LED headlamps supporting adaptive high and low beams. It also gets large air intakes, chrome window trim, black lower body elements and 17- or 18-inch black alloy wheels.
At the rear, the SUV features a full-width LED taillight design, rear spoiler and power tailgate as standard. The Fengyun T7 measures 4,570mm long, 1,852mm wide and 1,694mm tall, with a wheelbase of 2,700mm.

Inside, the SUV gets a wraparound cockpit with an 8.8-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15.6-inch 2.5K central touchscreen. The system uses a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8775 cockpit chip and supports Apple CarPlay, Huawei HiCar and Carlink connectivity.
Standard features include a panoramic sunroof, 50W wireless charging, heated and ventilated front seats and an eight-speaker Sony sound system. Higher-spec variants get Chery’s Falcon 500 driver-assistance system with highway assisted driving capability.
Power comes from a front-mounted electric motor producing 178 kW and 275 Nm of torque. The SUV is equipped with a 65.05 kWh LFP battery and offers a claimed 600 km pure-electric range.
The battery supports fast charging from 30% to 80% in around 20 minutes. The Fengyun T7 uses MacPherson struts at the front and a multi-link independent suspension at the rear.
