KATHMANDU: Cimex Inc, the authorized distributor of BYD in Nepal, has opened a new service center in Bhaktapur and started construction of another facility in Dallu, Kathmandu, as the company expands its after-sales service network.
The new Bhaktapur facility covers 25,072.60 square feet and combines sales, servicing and spare parts under one roof. The company has developed it as a 3S center to provide customers with vehicle sales and maintenance services at a single location.
The service center has eight service bays, five of which are currently operational. The remaining three will be brought into operation as demand increases. A showroom is also expected to open at the premises soon.
The facility has been designed around Bhaktapur’s cultural and architectural heritage. Developed under the concept of a BYD Heritage Showroom and Service Center, it combines the brand’s international standards with local architectural identity.
The center is intended to provide customers with services ranging from vehicle purchases to routine maintenance, supported by spare parts availability and technical expertise.
Cimex has also laid the foundation stone for a new service center in Dallu, Kathmandu. The proposed facility is expected to increase servicing capacity in the Kathmandu Valley and improve access to maintenance services for BYD owners.

The expansion comes as electric vehicle adoption continues to grow in Nepal, increasing the need for authorized service facilities, trained technicians, genuine spare parts and reliable maintenance support.
Cimex has identified after-sales service as a key area of investment as BYD expands its presence in the Nepali market. The company says the new facilities reflect its service philosophy of “Superior and Sincere Service”.
