KATHMANDU: Small electric cars are gaining lot of attraction at the ongoing NADA Auto Show.

Electric vehicles (EVs) priced between Rs 1.899 million and Rs 22 million have been kept on display at the Auto Show. Dealers have offered attractive cash discounts and lot of other benefits for people booking car at the event.

Here you present five most affordable models on display at the Auto Show.

Jinpeng Lingbox
Price: Starts from Rs 1.899

Distributed in Nepal by Thakur Motors, the Lingbox hatchback comes in two variants. The basic variant costs Rs 1.899 million, while the premium is priced at Rs 2.399 million. Both variants are powered by a 35 kW motor. The basic variant comes with a 19.2 kWh LFP battery which offers a certified range of 240 km, while the premium uses a 31.45 kWh battery that delivers a claimed range of 340 km.

Lumin Mini
Price: Rs 2.299 million

MAW Vriddhi, the official distributor of Changan in Nepal, has priced the Lumin Mini at Rs 2.299 million. The car comes in attractive design and looks premium. The mini EV comes with a 35 kW motor paired with a 28.08 kWh CATL battery. The company claims that it offers a range of up to 301 km when fully charged.

Tata Tiago EV
Price: Starts from Rs 2.749 million

Sipradi Trading, the official distributor of Tata Motors, has showcased the Tata Tiago EV at the Auto Show. The company unveiled the Tiago EV in the new ‘Arizona Blue’ color option on the second day of the event. The Tiago EV comes in two variants: the XT priced at Rs 2.749 million and the XZ Plus Tech Luxury costing Rs 2.999 million. The car features a 48 kW motor and a 24 kWh battery. Sipradi is offering lifetime free charging at Tata’s nationwide network, three years of free servicing, Autoplus insurance, free accessories, one year of vehicle tax, free home charging station installation and an embossed number plate for people booking the car during the event.

BYD Atto 1
Price: Starts from Rs 2.895 million
BYD Atto 1 hatchback has been positioned as a stylish, affordable option. Cimex Inc, the authorized BYD distributor in Nepal, is offering the car in two variants – Dynamic costing Rs 2.895 million and Premium priced at Rs 3.299 million. While both variants are powered by a 45 kW motor, the Dynamic carries a 30 kWh battery and the Premium comes with a 38.88 kWh battery pack.

Dongfeng Nammi 01
Price: Rs 3.399 million

The Nammi 01 is another budget hatchback kept on display at the Auto Show. The E3 variant of Nammi 01 is priced at Rs 3.399 million. It comes with a 49 kW motor paired with a 42.3 kWh LFP battery. The car offers a driving range of 317 km, according to MAW Vriddhi, the authorized Dongfeng Nammi distributor in Nepal.
