KATHMANDU: Paramount Motors has officially started selling the MG IM6 in Nepal, pricing it at Rs 7.499 million.
After a short test drive around the Kathmandu Valley, the IM6 stands out as one of the most advanced crossover SUVs available in this price range, combining high-tech features, premium comfort and impressive drivability even on narrow city roads.
The IM6 is also on sale in Europe, distributed through MG’s global network. The model is developed under IM Motors, a premium EV sub-brand of China’s SAIC Group.
The IM6 comes equipped with an intelligent digital chassis that enhances driving comfort and stability. Despite its 4,908 mm length, the SUV has a turning radius of just 4.5 meters, a figure typically seen in small hatchbacks. During the test drive from Godavari to Phulchowki, the vehicle’s four-wheel steering system made tight turns effortless, boosting driver confidence in congested or hilly roads.

Four-wheel steering
Although the IM6 is rear-wheel drive, its steering system can control all four wheels, allowing agile handling in tight spaces. The sporty three-spoke steering wheel also includes integrated control buttons for easier operation.
Modern cabins and screens
Inside, the IM6 offers a premium, tech-oriented cabin with three large digital displays. A 26.3-inch floating screen spans the dashboard, while a 10.25-inch screen sits on the center console. The dashboard is covered with soft-touch materials, and the main display is split between driver information and entertainment.

Vegan leather upholstery, ventilated and heated seats and automatic climate control add to its luxury appeal.
Motor and battery
The IM6 is powered by a rear-mounted electric motor producing 109 kW and 450 Nm of torque, paired with a 75 kWh LFP battery. According to WLTP certification, it delivers a range of up to 450 km on a single charge.
Safety and assistance features
Safety is another highlight. The SUV comes with seven airbags and an ADAS known as “iAD” (Intelligent Automated Driving) Features include auto parking, 9 HD cameras, 12 ultrasonic sensors, 3 lidars and a 360-degree view system.
Standard functions such as auto hold, hill hold and hill descent control are also easy to operate.

The MG IM6 combines luxury, modern technology and safety at a reasonable price. Its advanced features and comfortable interior make it a strong choice in the premium electric crossover segment.
