KATHMANDU: The JAECOO J5 is now available in two variants in Nepal, with the new J5 Pro priced at an offer price of Rs. 4.799 million. The regular J5 is priced at Rs. 5.499 million.

SPG Automobiles Pvt. Ltd., the authorized distributor of Omoda JAECOO vehicles in Nepal, has introduced the J5 Pro as a more affordable option in its electric SUV lineup.

The J5 Pro comes with a 50.7 kWh battery and offers a claimed 405 km NEDC range on a full charge. In comparison, the regular J5 gets a larger 58.9 kWh battery with a claimed range of 461 km.

The main difference between the two variants is the battery capacity and driving range. Other key features remain largely similar.

Both variants produce 288 Nm of torque and offer 185 mm of ground clearance. They also come with a panoramic moon roof, spare tire, Level 2 ADAS and 480-liter boot space.

The J5 Pro is aimed at customers looking for a premium electric SUV at a more accessible price. Its smaller battery allows the company to offer the model at a lower price while retaining the key features of the J5.

The regular J5, meanwhile, is targeted at buyers who prioritize a longer driving range. Its larger battery provides an additional 56 km of claimed NEDC range over the J5 Pro.

Both variants also come with an 11-year extended warranty.
