KATHMANDU: The updated Kaiyi e-Qute 04 electric hatchback has arrived in Nepal with a more powerful motor and redesigned exterior and interior. Despite the upgrades, the model will retain its existing price of Rs 2.596 million, according to the launch report.
G.O. Automobiles and Laxmi E-Mobility, the authorized distributors of Kaiyi vehicles in Nepal, have introduced the updated model with a 55 kW electric motor. The previous version was equipped with a 40 kW motor.
The e-Qute 04 retains its 28.08 kWh battery pack. It offers a claimed driving range of up to 301 kilometers on a single charge under the CLTC testing cycle. The vehicle also supports DC fast charging, allowing the battery to charge from 30% to 80% in around 30 minutes.

The updated model features revised front and rear bumpers. The front fascia now gets two side vents on each side, replacing the enclosed design of the previous model. Hidden door handles and redesigned LED combination tail lamps add to its updated appearance.

Inside, the cabin adopts a cleaner layout with fewer physical buttons. A central touch screen handles infotainment and vehicle controls, while a 7-inch digital instrument cluster displays driving information. Other features include a steering-column-mounted gear selector, a multi-function steering wheel, keyless entry and one-touch start.

The hatchback also offers Bluetooth and Wi-Fi connectivity, Apple CarPlay compatibility, six speakers and manually adjustable front seats.
