KATHMANDU: The SUV priced at Rs 25 million has entered the Nepali market at a time when electric vehicles are gaining strong demand. GO Automobiles has introduced MG’s largest petrol-powered SUV, the MG Majestor, in Nepal.
Manufactured by MG Motor India, the full-size SUV was launched in the Indian market last month. The Majestor comes with a powerful diesel engine and gained attention after setting a Guinness World Record by towing a 406.4-tonne train in March.
The MG Majestor is powered by a 2.0-liter twin-turbo diesel engine. It produces 215.5 PS of power and 478.5 Nm of torque. The engine is paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission.
The SUV is available with both rear-wheel-drive and four-wheel-drive options. It measures 5,046 mm in length, 2,016 mm in width, and 1,876 mm in height. It comes with a 2,950 mm wheelbase.

The Majestor features a large gloss black front grille, vertically positioned LED headlights, and slim LED daytime running lights. It also gets dual-tone 19-inch alloy wheels, connected LED tail lights, and a silver skid plate at the rear.
Based on the Maxus D90 platform, the SUV is designed for both road and off-road performance. The four-wheel-drive system offers 10 off-road modes, triple differential locks, crawl control, and 219 mm ground clearance. It can also handle water wading up to 810 mm.
For safety, the MG Majestor comes with Level 2 advanced driver assistance system (ADAS). The cabin features a 12.3-inch floating touchscreen, a 12.3-inch information display, and a three-spoke steering wheel.
Other features include three-zone climate control, a 12-speaker audio system, heated and ventilated seats, and massage seats, making it a premium full-size SUV option in Nepal.
