KATHMANDU: MAW Vriddhi is preparing to introduce Nevo, the second electric vehicle brand under China’s Changan Group, in Nepal. The company, which currently sells Deepal vehicles, will soon start sales of Nevo electric models.
The company is planning to bring the Thailand-built Nevo Q05 electric SUV to Nepal. The model is expected to make its Nepal debut through the upcoming NADA Auto Show starting from August 25.
The Nevo Q05 is built on a pure electric platform and comes with a front-wheel-drive system. The Thailand-spec model is equipped with a 120 kW electric motor producing 190 Nm of torque.
The SUV gets a 51.9 kWh LFP battery pack. It offers a claimed range of up to 642 km under the NEDC test cycle. The real-world range in Nepal is expected to be around 350 km.
For charging, the Nevo Q05 supports up to 160 kW DC fast charging. The battery can charge from 30 percent to 80 percent in around 15 minutes. It also supports up to 6.6 kW AC charging.

The SUV measures 4,435 mm in length, 1,855 mm in width, and 1,600 mm in height. It comes with a 2,735 mm wheelbase, making it suitable for both city driving and highway use.
The Nevo Q05 features a modern cabin with a 14.6-inch infotainment display, connected car technology, and a spacious interior layout.
In terms of safety, the SUV comes with an ADAS package including adaptive cruise control, lane assist, autonomous emergency braking, and blind spot monitoring.
The Nevo Q05 could become a model of interest in the Nepali market as demand for electric SUVs continues to grow. Positioned as a mid-size SUV under the Deepal lineup, it could be a strong addition to the brand’s portfolio.
