KATHMANDU: Nissan’s upcoming B-segment MPV has been spotted testing in India ahead of its expected launch in February 2026. The new model will be based on the Renault Triber, marking Nissan’s entry into the small MPV segment.

Spy images show that the car uses the same body as the Triber but has its own design touches. It gets a hexagonal front grille, wraparound headlights, and a new front bumper with a rectangular air intake.

The clamshell-shaped bonnet and roof rails add a slightly rugged look to the MPV.

Under the hood, Nissan’s B-MPV is likely to get the same 1.0-litre, three-cylinder petrol engine as the Triber. It will be available with a 5-speed manual or a 5-speed AMT gearbox.

However, it is still unclear whether Nissan will offer the more powerful 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engine in India.

The new MPV will be one of three upcoming models Nissan plans to launch in India as part of its renewed product strategy.
