KATHMANDU: Customers who booked Omoda and Jaecoo vehicles during the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo and NADA Auto Show are set to receive their vehicles soon.
The vehicles imported through the Korala border point have completed customs clearance and are now being dispatched to dealers across the country. According to the company, deliveries to customers will begin in different parts of Nepal within the next few days.
The company chose the Korala route after the Rasuwagadhi border point was closed following floods on August 26. The alternative route was used to bring the vehicles into Nepal and avoid further delays in customer deliveries.
Omoda and Jaecoo vehicles combine modern design with technology, premium comfort and advanced safety features.
The Omoda E5 and E5 Pro offer 191 mm of ground clearance, an electric sunroof, Level 2.5 ADAS, ventilated, heated and massage seats, along with a premium interior.
The Jaecoo 5 and J5 Pro come with 185 mm of ground clearance, a panoramic sunroof, 480-liter boot space, a 15.6-inch central touchscreen and ventilated seats.
Meanwhile, the Jaecoo J6T offers 225 mm of ground clearance. It is equipped with a 65.69 kWh battery and a 135 kW motor, with a claimed range of up to 431 km.
