KATHMANDU: Royal Enfield has achieved an important milestone, by selling over 1 million motorcycles in a single financial year for the first time.

The Chennai-based premium motorcycle manufacturer sold a record 1,009,900 units between April 2024 and March 2025. Of these, 101,021 motorcycles were sold in March 2025 alone.

Royal Enfield continues to perform strongly in both Indian and international markets. Its most affordable model, the Hunter 350, has contributed significantly to this success, with over 500,000 units sold so far.

The company recently expanded its lineup in India with several new launches, including the Guerilla 450, Bear 650, Classic 650, Goan 350 and an updated Classic 350. Royal Enfield expects these additions to boost sales further.

The company is also preparing to enter the electric motorcycle segment with Flying Flea which is inspired by a classic bike from the 1940s. According to the company, the EV lineup will feature two models: the FF-C6 with a retro-futuristic look and the FF-S6 with a scrambler design. Both are set to launch in early 2026.

To strengthen its global presence, Royal Enfield has established a manufacturing plant in Bangladesh and assembly units in Thailand and Nepal. In Nepal, the company sells around 10,000 units annually through its official distributor, Alpha Automotive.

Popular Royal Enfield models in Nepal include the Hunter, Classic 350, Meteor 350, Scrambler and the Himalayan 450.
