KATHMANDU: The delivery of Deepal E-07, billed the world’s first ‘transformer SUV, has officially begun in Nepal.
MAW Vriddhi Autocorp, the authorized distributor of Deepal in Nepal, handed over the Deepal E-07 to customers who had pre-booked the vehicle on Sunday.
Rupesh Sharma Bhatta, the CEO of MAW Vriddhi Autocorp, told Mero Auto that deliveries commenced just one and a half months after the SUV’s launch.
“We opened bookings after unveiling the E-07 in Nepal and received an overwhelmingly positive response from the market,” Bhatta said. “We have delivered the vehicle to our first batch of customers and are grateful for their trust and support. We remain committed to bringing world-class products to Nepal.”
The Deepal E-07 is a convertible SUV, with a rear section that can transform into a pick-up bed with a click. The company claims that the pick-up bed can carry up to 600 kg, while comfortably seating five passengers.
The E-07 is a fully electric vehicle powered by an 89.98 kWh battery with a WLTP range of 566 km. The car, which boasts a 200 mm ground clearance, is available in rear-wheel drive (RWD) and all-wheel drive (AWD) variants. According to Bhatta, they have started delivery of the RWD variant.
The RWD model features a 190 kW motor, delivering 258 PS and 365 Nm of torque, paired with the 89.98 kWh battery. According to the company, its Super Brain Central Computing Platform ensures seamless control and real-time response. The vehicle boasts a 28.86-inch augmented reality head-up display and a 15.4-inch sunflower touchscreen which enhance both safety and driving experience.
For comfort and safety, the E-07 includes five cruise assist modes, four parking assist features, 14 safety protection systems, five mm Wave radars, five cameras and 12 ultrasonic radars. Additionally, a 540-degree surround view and C2 central computing system simplify navigation and parking.
