KATHMANDU: Royal Enfield has launched the Classic 650 Hypershift, a special edition motorcycle celebrating the brand’s 125th anniversary. The motorcycle is priced at 426,000 Indian rupees (ex-showroom) in India.

The Classic 650 Hypershift will be limited to 125 units in each of Royal Enfield’s key markets. Deliveries are scheduled to begin in November 2026.

The special edition features an exclusive paint finish that changes between red, green and gold depending on the light. The finish is applied over a brass base, inspired by the brand’s origins in 1901.

Other highlights include a gold-finished Royal Enfield emblem on the fuel tank, ‘125 years’ badging on the side panels, hand-painted pinstripes and a quilted leather seat.

Mechanically, the motorcycle remains unchanged. It is powered by the same 648cc, air-cooled, parallel-twin engine that produces 46 BHP and 52.3 Nm of torque.

The special edition mainly focuses on exclusive styling and commemorative details rather than mechanical upgrades.
