KATHMANDU: Royal Enfield has launched the new Classic 350 ‘Gorkha Edition’ in the Nepali market.

Alpha Automotive, the authorized distributor of Royal Enfield motorcycles in Nepal, has started selling the special edition at a starting price of Rs 599,000.

The Gorkha Edition was launched in India earlier this week. It is based on the standard Classic 350 and gets limited changes to the overall design. The main updates are the new paint scheme, special graphics and Gorkha-themed branding.

The biggest highlight is the new Gorkha Green color. The military-inspired olive green shade gives the motorcycle a distinctive look. The side panels feature special Gorkha Edition graphics along with the crossed Khukri motif associated with the Gorkha Regiment.

The motorcycle continues to use the 349cc, single-cylinder, J-Series engine. It produces 20.2 bhp and 27 Nm of peak torque. The engine is paired with a 5-speed gearbox.

The Classic 350 Gorkha Edition comes with a semi-digital instrument cluster featuring an analog speedometer and an LCD display. It also gets wire-spoke wheels, a split rider and pillion seat setup, round mirrors, a chrome exhaust and a chrome-finished headlamp.
