KATHMANDU: Tata Motors has introduced an updated version of the Punch EV with new exterior colors and improved charging capability in India.
The Long Range variant can now charge at 1.2C, delivering 90 km of range in 15 minutes using a 50 kW DC fast charger. Charging from 10% to 80% takes just 40 minutes.
Two new color options Supernova Copper and Pure Grey, have been added to the line-up. Existing shades include Empowered Oxide, Seaweed, Fearless Red, Daytona Gray and Pristine White.
The Punch EV is offered with two battery choices. The standard model gets a 25 kWh pack with a range of 265 km. The Long Range version uses a 35 kWh battery paired with a 90 kW motor, offering a range of 365 km.
In July 2025, Tata Motors announced that Punch sales had crossed 600,000 units in under four years, making it the fastest-selling SUV in India.
In Nepal, both ICE and EV versions are available, with the EV seeing stronger demand. Tata credits its SUV-style design, high ground clearance and Sipradi’s sales network.
The Punch EV is priced between Rs 3.499 million and Rs 3.99 million in Nepal.
