KATHMANDU: The Deepal S05 has officially hit the Nepali roads.
MAW Vriddhi, the authorized Deepal distributor in Nepal, unveiled the S05 amid a colorful ceremony on Thursday. The electric crossover will come in two variants – S05 Plus and S05 Max.
The S05 Plus will be available for Rs 4.899 million, while the S05 Max has been priced at Rs 5.499 million.
A recipient of the prestigious iF Design Award, the Deepal S05 features an ‘Interstellar Wing’ design language which draws inspiration from futuristic spacecraft, resulting in a sleek and aerodynamic silhouette with a low 0.25Cd drag coefficient. The segment-leading Queen Co-Pilot seat in the S05 offers zero-gravity comfort, ventilation, leg support, memory function and a one-touch nap mode.
The S05 is equipped with ADAS 2.0 suite which has 19 advanced driver-assistance features, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, five HD cameras and 12 ultrasonic sensors.
Other highlights of the S05 include a spacious 160-liter frunk, a premium 14-speaker surround sound system with outdoor mode and refined interior craftsmanship.
Powered by a 99 kW motor delivering 320 Nm torque, the S05 houses a 56.1 kWh lithium iron phosphate (LFP) battery which offers a WLTP-certified range of up to 470 km on a single charge. The S05 uses CATL’s Golden Shield Battery System 2.0 which has a lifespan of more than 600,000 km and supports DC fast charging of up 150 kW.
The S05 introduces segment-first Remote In-and-Out Parking which enables easy maneuvering in tight spaces. Similarly, it comes equipped with ADAS 2.0 suite which has 19 advanced driver-assistance features, adaptive cruise control, blind-spot monitoring, five HD cameras, 12 ultrasonic sensors, traction control and auto hold.
The S05 also debuts Augmented Reality Head-Up Display (AR-HUD) in its segment, projecting live navigation, traffic signals, speed, and essential driver information directly onto the windshield.
