KATHMANDU: Toyota is set to unveil two new models at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo 2026. The official Toyota distributor in Nepal, United Traders Syndicate Pvt. Ltd., will introduce the new products on Tuesday.

The company has not revealed the names of the two models yet. However, the sixth-generation Toyota RAV4 Hybrid and ninth-generation Toyota Hilux are among the models expected to make their Nepal debut.

United Traders Syndicate Managing Director Ritu Singh Vaidya confirmed that two new products will be launched at the expo.

“We will launch two new products, but let’s not reveal the names just yet,” said Vaidya.

Sixth-gen RAV4 expected

The sixth-generation Toyota RAV4 is expected to be one of the new models. The new RAV4 has attracted significant attention in international markets with its updated design and hybrid powertrain.

The self-charging hybrid version uses a 2.5-liter four-cylinder petrol engine combined with electric motors. Depending on the configuration, the hybrid system produces around 240 PS. Toyota has also increased the use of electrification across the new RAV4 lineup.

Toyota has sold the RAV4 globally since 1994. The compact SUV has become one of the company’s best-selling models worldwide. The current RAV4 Hybrid is also listed by Toyota Nepal with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder hybrid powertrain.

The price and exact specifications of the new RAV4 in Nepal will be revealed at the launch.

New Hilux likely among showcased models

The second model could be the ninth-generation Toyota Hilux. Toyota has already introduced the new-generation pickup in several markets, including India.

The new Hilux gets a sharper exterior design and a significantly updated cabin. It also features a more modern dashboard and upgraded technology while retaining its rugged pickup character.

The new Hilux is offered with a 2.8-liter diesel engine in several markets. A 48V mild-hybrid system is also available in selected markets. The hybrid version can offer up to a 1-tonne payload and 3.5-tonne towing capacity.

Toyota launched the ninth-generation Hilux in India in July 2026. The India-spec model is available with the 2.8-liter diesel engine and 4×4 capability.

However, United Traders Syndicate has not officially confirmed that the new Hilux will be the second model at the NAIMA Expo.

Up to Rs 2.1 million discount

Toyota will also offer discounts of up to Rs 2.1 million during the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo.

According to the company, customers booking Toyota vehicles during the expo will receive discounts ranging from Rs 300,000 to Rs 2.1 million. Toyota has not yet disclosed the discount available on individual models.

The company is also offering special driving opportunities for customers.

One lucky customer who books a Toyota vehicle at the expo will be selected through a lucky draw to participate in the Elite Explore Kanyakumari Drive with a partner.

In addition, every customer who books a Toyota vehicle during the NAIMA Expo will get an opportunity to participate in the company’s community drive.
