KATHMANDU: VinFast is set to launch the VF 6 and VF 7 electric SUVs in India on September 6, 2025.
Prices will be announced at the launch. Pre-bookings for both models are already open. The EVs will be available at 32 dealerships across 27 cities in the first phase.
The VF 6 comes with a 59.6 kWh battery pack. It powers an electric motor mounted on the front axle. The model offers a range of 480 km on a single charge. It is expected to compete with the Hyundai Creta Electric, Tata Curvev and Mahindra BE 6.
The VF 7 is larger and will be offered in single- and dual-motor setups. Both versions use a 70.8 kWh battery. The single-motor version has a range of 450 km, while the dual-motor version delivers 431 km. The SUV is expected to rival the Tata Harrier.ev and Mahindra XEV 9e.
Both the VF 6 and VF 7 will be assembled at VinFast’s Thoothukudi plant in Tamil Nadu.
VinFast India is the Indian arm of Vietnam-based electric vehicle manufacturer VinFast, which recently entered the Indian market.
