Volkswagen’s ID.Polo electric hatchback arrives with an impressive 454 KM range

KATHMANDU: Volkswagen has revealed the new ID.Polo electric hatchback for global markets. The model will go on sale this month, with prices starting at around 30,000 USD.

The ID.Polo is built on Volkswagen’s MEB+ platform. It measures 4,053 mm in length and comes with a 2,600 mm wheelbase.

The hatchback gets a modern exterior design with LED headlights, a full-width light bar, illuminated VW logo, slim rear lights and hidden rear door handles.

Inside, the cabin features a 13-inch touchscreen, 10-inch digital instrument cluster, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, wireless charger, dual-zone climate control, ambient lighting and adaptive cruise control. Higher variants also offer a Harman Kardon sound system, panoramic glass roof and powered seats with massage function.

Volkswagen is offering the ID.Polo with two battery options. The 37 kWh battery delivers up to 329 km range and comes with motor outputs of 114 BHP or 135 BHP. The larger 52 kWh battery produces 208 BHP and offers a claimed range of 454 km.
