KATHMANDU: Mahindra has officially confirmed the renaming of the XUV700 to XUV 7XO. The announcement was made through a teaser shared on the brand’s official social media platforms.

The XUV 7XO will debut in the Indian market on January 5, 2026. This is the second model to get a new name from the brand. Earlier, Mahindra renamed the XUV300 as the XUV 3XO.

A short teaser video has revealed the new ‘XUV 7XO’ badge. It also previews key exterior updates.

The SUV will get a redesigned front fascia. It will feature new LED headlamps and LED DRLs. The grille will be updated. The taillights will get new L-shaped LED elements.

Inside, the SUV is expected to receive a fresh interior color scheme. Door panels will be redesigned. A new dashboard with a triple-screen setup, similar to Mahindra XEV 9e, is expected. A Harman/Kardon sound system is also likely.

No mechanical changes are expected. Engine options will likely remain unchanged. These will include a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol and a 2.0-litre diesel engine. Both will be offered with 6-speed manual and 6-speed automatic gearboxes.
