KATHMANDU: Yamaha Nepal is making a strong comeback at the NADA Auto Show 2026 with several new and updated models.
The company has expanded its lineup with new scooters and motorcycles after a long gap in major product additions. MAW Rides, the official distributor of Yamaha two-wheelers in Nepal, has introduced the new models at the ongoing auto show.
MAW Rides CEO Deepak Kumar Agrawal said the company has focused on products that meet different customer needs and budgets.
“We could not bring many new products for some time. We have now upgraded some models and added completely new products. This will make our lineup stronger again,” Agrawal said.
Fascino returns with hybrid technology
Yamaha has brought back the Fascino in Nepal with updated styling and hybrid technology. The new Fascino S Hybrid and Fascino Disc Hybrid variants have been introduced at the show.
The company has also unveiled the updated Yamaha Aerox 155 S. The new version comes with a keyless start system along with other updates.
The Fascino and Aerox 155 S are currently being showcased at the auto show. Their bookings are expected to open soon. The company plans to start deliveries around Dashain or shortly after the festival.
New strategy for the R15
Yamaha has also updated the R15 lineup with the R15 S and R15 M.
The R15 S is positioned as a more affordable option for customers who want a full-fairing sports motorcycle but find the R15 M expensive.
“Many customers want a full-fairing sports bike, but not everyone can afford the R15 M. So, we have brought the more economical R15 S,” Agrawal said.
Sales of both the R15 S and R15 M have started from the NADA Auto Show.
XSR 155 draws strong interest
The Yamaha XSR 155 is one of the most anticipated new motorcycles at the show.
The neo-retro motorcycle combines a classic design with Yamaha’s 155cc performance platform. It features a teardrop-shaped fuel tank, round LED headlamp and flat bench-style seat. The model shares its 155cc platform with Yamaha’s R15 and MT-15.
MAW Rides has already started sales of the XSR 155 in Nepal. The motorcycle is available in limited quantities and is being offered through bookings.
According to Agrawal, demand for the XSR 155 has been strong while supply remains limited.
“We have very limited quantities of the XSR 155. It is available only through bookings,” he said. “We have started deliveries based on earlier bookings, and the Bhadra booking quota is almost closed.”
Special offers at NADA
Yamaha is also offering special gifts to customers who book its motorcycles during the NADA Auto Show.
Customers booking models from the MT and R15 series will receive riding gear. Buyers booking other Yamaha models will get a full Bluetooth smart helmet.
The XSR 155 does not have a separate booking offer because of its high demand and limited supply. Managing bookings and deliveries remains the company’s main priority for the model.
