KATHMANDU: The NADA Automobiles Association of Nepal (NADA) has announced Rs 1 million in financial support for people affected by the Bhotekoshi floods.
NADA will provide the amount to the Prime Minister’s Disaster Relief Fund to support rescue, relief and rehabilitation efforts.
The association expressed deep sorrow over the loss of lives and property caused by the floods in Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and Chitwan, among other districts.
NADA has also urged automobile businesses to come together and support rescue and relief efforts from their respective areas.
NADA President Surendra Kumar Uprety said the association stands with the government and citizens during the difficult situation.
He said coordinated efforts from the government, private sector, businesses and citizens are needed for effective rescue, relief and rehabilitation in the affected areas.
NADA Auto Show to continue
Despite the natural disaster, NADA has decided to continue the NADA Auto Show 2026 at Bhrikutimandap in Kathmandu.
The association said the decision was taken to keep economic activities moving during the difficult situation.
The 18th edition of the NADA Auto Show 2026 started on August 25 and will continue until August 30 (Bhadra 14). NADA’s official website confirms the exhibition dates as August 25-30. 2026.
