KATHMANDU: Hyundai Motor India has launched the 2026 facelift version of the Exter, with prices starting at 5.79 Indian rupees (ex-showroom). The compact SUV gets updated styling, added features, and minor interior improvements, while retaining the same powertrain options.
On the outside, the updated Exter features a redesigned black-finish front grille, revised front and rear bumpers with silver inserts, and new 15-inch diamond-cut alloy wheels. It also gets chunkier wheel arch cladding, along with a new rear roof spoiler and updated C-pillar garnish.

Inside, the SUV now comes with a dual-tone Navy and Gray interior theme. New additions include metal pedals, a flat-bottom steering wheel, and a folding armrest for the driver. Practical updates such as a height-adjustable driver’s seat and adjustable rear headrests are now standard across all variants.

In terms of features, the 2026 Exter gets a factory-fitted dashcam, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, and a rear USB Type-C charging port. It also offers an electric sunroof and connected car tech via Bluelink, with over 60 connected features and more than 300 voice commands.
Safety features include six airbags as standard, along with Electronic Stability Control (ESC) and Hill Start Assist Control.

Mechanically, the Exter continues with the same 1.2-liter, 4-cylinder Kappa petrol engine, paired with either a 5-speed manual transmission or AMT. A factory-fitted CNG option is also available, now featuring dual cylinders instead of a single large tank. The CNG variant offers 225 liters of boot space and comes with an underbody-mounted spare wheel.
The facelift model is introduced with two new color options: Golden Bronze and Titanium Black Matte.
