KATHMANDU: A new test unit of the Maruti Brezza, likely the 2026 model, has been spotted on the road, according to Carindianews.
The SUV was fully covered, but the sightings hint at several updates coming to the popular compact model.
The spotted unit was a CNG variant. This was confirmed by a sticker placed on the rear glass. The uploader also noted that it carried an underbody CNG tank, similar to the setup seen in the Victoris.
One of the major additions expected in the new Brezza is Level 2 ADAS. More brands are now offering this feature in different segments, and Maruti is preparing to bring it to the Brezza as well.
The SUV may also get minor cosmetic changes. These could include new black-finished alloy wheels, updated tail lamps, and a shark-fin antenna. The changes appear subtle but are aimed at giving the model a fresh look.
The powertrain lineup is expected to remain the same. The 1.5-liter petrol engine will continue with a 5-speed manual and a 6-speed automatic option. The CNG version is likely to be offered with a 5-speed manual gearbox.
