KATHMANDU: Triumph Motorcycles has unveiled the 2027 Tiger 1200 adventure tourer with updates to its engine, chassis, instrumentation and styling. The new model also introduces radar-based rider assistance systems.
The motorcycle is powered by an updated 1,160cc, liquid-cooled, three-cylinder engine that produces 156 bhp at 9,250 rpm and 130 Nm of torque at 6,750 rpm. This is an increase of 8 bhp over the outgoing model.
Triumph has revised the engine, gearbox and shaft drive to improve low-speed performance and overall refinement. The gearing and torque delivery have also been calibrated for smoother riding at lower speeds.
The 2027 Tiger 1200 features Showa EERA semi-active suspension with selectable damping settings and HeightFlex technology. The system automatically lowers the seat height by 30 mm when the motorcycle comes to a stop.
The front suspension uses a 49mm upside-down fork, while the rear gets a monoshock with self-levelling preload. Both ends offer 200mm of wheel travel.
The motorcycle gets a new 7-inch HD TFT touchscreen with an anti-glare finish and IP6K9K-rated dust and water protection. It supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, with touch, button and voice controls.

A new waterproof storage compartment on the fuel tank includes a USB-C charging port and an automatic cooling fan.
The adaptive LED projector headlamp adjusts its lighting according to the motorcycle’s lean angle. Additional LED elements activate at 15 and 30 degrees of lean, while electrically adjustable beam levels help improve visibility.
The 2027 Tiger 1200 also introduces front and rear Bosch radar systems. Its rider assistance features include adaptive cruise control, overtake assist, curve speed control and group ride assist.
The front radar supports riding distance assistance, emergency braking assistance and forward collision warnings. The rear radar enables blind-spot assistance and rear-distance warnings.
The 2027 Triumph Tiger 1200 will be available in four variants: GT Pro, Rally Pro, GT Explorer and Rally Explorer.
All four models feature a 19-inch front wheel and a 17-inch rear wheel. The GT variants use cast aluminum alloy wheels, while the Rally versions come with wire-spoked wheels.
The Rally variants also get an Off-Road Pro riding mode, engine protection and an adjustable folding brake pedal, among other features.
The GT Pro is available in Sapphire Black and Aluminum Silver/Pacific Blue. The GT Explorer comes in Aluminum Silver/Pacific Blue and Granite.
The Rally Pro is offered in Matt Khaki Green and Ash Grey, while the Rally Explorer is available in Ash Grey/Sapphire Black and Matt Khaki Green.
Triumph has launched the 2027 Tiger 1200 in the UK, with deliveries scheduled to begin in December 2026. A global launch is expected to follow.
