KATHMANDU: The third-generation Honda Amaze has earned a 5-star rating under the Bharat NCAP safety program.
The compact sedan scored 28.33 out of 32 points for adult occupant protection and 40.81 out of 49 points for child occupant protection.
In the frontal offset deformable barrier test, the Amaze showed good protection for the head, neck, and lower body of both the driver and front passenger.
Chest protection for the driver was marked as adequate, while the passenger received good overall protection.
The side movable barrier test reported good protection for the head and lower body. Chest protection was rated as marginal. The side pole impact test also showed good protection for occupants.
Dynamic tests were carried out using child restraint systems. The Amaze secured 23.81 out of 24 points in dynamic performance and earned a full 12 out of 12 points for CRS installation. The vehicle assessment score stood at 5 out of 13.
