KATHMANDU: Royal Enfield is preparing a major product expansion for the coming financial year in India. The company is planning to introduce five new motorcycles along with updates to several existing models.
According to Indian media reports, Royal Enfield will launch the Royal Enfield Bullet 650, Royal Enfield Himalayan 440, Royal Enfield Continental GT750, Royal Enfield Himalayan 750 and Royal Enfield Scram 450 during Indian FY2027.
Besides the new launches, the company is also preparing updates for 13 existing motorcycles. The move is aimed at strengthening Royal Enfield’s position in the midsize motorcycle segment.
The brand is currently facing stronger competition from rivals including Triumph, Honda, Hero MotoCorp, TVS and Harley-Davidson.
Reports also suggest Royal Enfield is targeting double-digit growth in the coming year. The company aims to produce around 1.32 million motorcycles during FY2027.
To support future growth, Royal Enfield is also planning to establish a new manufacturing facility in Andhra Pradesh. The new plant is expected to increase the company’s annual production capacity by around 900,000 units.
