KATHMANDU: Yamaha Nepal celebrated the 71st anniversary of Yamaha Motor Company by organizing a series of community and customer-focused activities across all seven provinces.

The celebrations were held simultaneously at Yamaha showrooms, dealerships, and company-operated outlets across the country by MAW Rides, the authorized distributor of Yamaha motorcycles in Nepal.

Yamaha Motor Company celebrates July 1 every year as Yamaha Day to honor the brand’s engineering excellence, motorsports heritage, and commitment to mobility.

As part of the anniversary, Yamaha Nepal honored employees who have completed 20 years of continuous service with the company. More than 100 dealers from across Nepal joined the celebration through digital platforms, while Yamaha Motor India also participated virtually.

To mark the occasion, Yamaha introduced several customer offers. Customers visiting Yamaha service centers nationwide received a 25 percent discount on labor charges. Under the ‘7 Provinces, 7 Customers’ campaign, one customer from each province won 100 percent cashback on service charges. Customers taking delivery of a new Yamaha motorcycle on July 1 also received a special anniversary chocolate.

Yamaha also organized blood donation programs in Dhangadhi, Pokhara, Naxal, Gattaghar, Bharatpur, Bardibas, and Itahari. The campaign collected around 350 units of blood through seven major Yamaha showrooms. A tree plantation program was also conducted at the company’s manufacturing plant in Biratnagar.

The company partnered with Kathmandu Police to support traffic management and promote road safety awareness during peak traffic hours in the capital. Yamaha’s riding community, Blue Streaks, also organized a charity ride to Mountain Children’s Home in Budhanilkantha.

MAW Rides Managing Director and Chairman Vishnu Agarwal thanked Yamaha’s dealer network for its continued support throughout the company’s 71-year journey.

“Today, Yamaha directly and indirectly supports the livelihoods of around 400 families across Nepal. Our dealers have stood by us through every challenge over the past 71 years. From traffic awareness and charity rides to blood donation and tree planting, every activity reflects Yamaha’s commitment to growing together with the community,” he said.
