KATHMANDU : The Honri Boma EV has been launched in Nepal. Honri is a sub-brand under the Chinese Honri Automobile Group, while the Boma is marketed under the V Auto brand.
GenNext Motors, a subsidiary of Generation Next Communications, has started sales of the electric mini car at the ongoing NAIMA Mobility Expo.
The company has priced the base variant at Rs. 2.099 million. The top variant costs Rs. 2.599 million. Under the NAIMA offer, customers will receive a discount of Rs. 100,000 on the listed price. The company is also offering a gift hamper.
The Honri Boma EV is designed as a compact electric car for urban use. It comes with a five-seat layout and a compact exterior. The company says its size makes it suitable for narrow roads and easy parking.
The base variant is powered by a 30 kW electric motor. It gets an 18.5 kWh battery pack. The company claims a range of up to 200 km on a full charge.
The higher variant offers a claimed range of up to 300 km on a full charge. Charging the vehicle using a standard plug takes around seven hours.
The Boma EV comes with features such as ABS, EBD, airbags, a reverse camera, ISOFIX child-seat mounts, rear parking radar and a tyre pressure monitoring system.
GenNext Motors has also committed to providing after-sales support and spare parts availability. The company will offer an eight-year or 120,000 km warranty on the battery. The vehicle comes with a three-year or 100,000 km warranty.
