KATHMANDU: The Royal Enfield Classic 350 Gorkha Edition has been spotted at a dealership in India ahead of its expected launch.
The special edition appears to pay tribute to the Gorkha Regiment of the Indian Army. It gets several cosmetic changes that distinguish it from the standard Classic 350.
The motorcycle is finished in a matte military green color. The side panels feature a Gorkha Edition sticker along with the crossed khukri insignia associated with the Gorkha Rifles.
The Classic 350 Gorkha Edition also gets chrome-finished engine casings and exhaust. It rides on chrome wire-spoke wheels, giving the motorcycle a distinctive retro appearance.
Mechanically, the special edition is expected to remain unchanged from the standard Classic 350. It will continue with Royal Enfield’s 349cc, single-cylinder J-series engine.
The engine produces 20.2 hp and 27 Nm of torque. It is paired with a five-speed gearbox.
The Classic 350 is known for its relaxed riding character and is suited to comfortable cruising. The Gorkha Edition adds a distinctive military-inspired appearance while retaining the motorcycle’s familiar mechanical package.
Royal Enfield has yet to announce the official launch date or pricing of the Classic 350 Gorkha Edition. More details are expected to be revealed soon.
