KATHMANDU: The 18th NADA Auto Show 2026 is underway at Bhrikutimandap, Kathmandu. The six-day event began on August 25 and will run until August 30.
The show features 53 vehicle brands, including passenger cars, two-wheelers and light commercial vehicles. More than 200 stalls are showcasing vehicles, auto components, financial services, insurance and other automotive products.
The opening day saw a strong visitor turnout. However, footfall declined temporarily following floods in the Bhotekoshi area. Visitor numbers have started picking up again.
More than a dozen new models have been launched or showcased at the event. Several brands have also introduced new products and special offers.
Some of the cars have emerged as major attractions among visitors.
Deepal Nevo Q05
The Deepal Nevo Q05 is among the most talked-about new SUVs at the show. The model marks the entry of Changan’s premium Deepal Nevo brand into Nepal.
MAW Vriddhi has launched the Q05 in two variants. The Max is available at Rs 4.699 million, while the Ultra costs Rs 4.999 million under the NADA offer. Its combination of modern design, features and pricing has attracted strong interest from visitors.
Nammi Vigo and Nammi Box
The Nammi Vigo is another model drawing attention at the show. MAW Vriddhi recently reduced the price of the electric SUV by Rs 800,000.
The company is also showcasing the updated Nammi Box. The model is positioned as an affordable electric hatchback. The attractive pricing of both models has helped increase visitor interest.
MHERO 1
The MHERO 1 is one of the most eye-catching SUVs at the show. Dongfeng’s premium electric SUV brand MHERO is displaying the large off-road-focused model through MAW Vriddhi.
The pure-electric version uses four electric motors. It produces a combined 800 kW and 1,400 Nm of torque. Although the MHERO 1 has not been opened for sales, its size, design and quad-motor powertrain have made it a major attraction at the exhibition.
BYD Atto 2, Atto 3 and Sealion 7
BYD remains one of the busiest stalls at the exhibition. The company is displaying the Atto 2, Atto 3 and Atto 1. It has also showcased the Sealion 7 and Shark 6 pickup.
The Atto 2 has attracted attention as a relatively compact electric SUV. The Sealion 7, meanwhile, targets buyers looking for a larger and more premium EV.
Tata Sierra.ev
Tata Motors’ Sierra.ev is another major attraction at NADA. Sipradi Trading has brought the electric SUV to Nepal for its public appearance at the show. The company has opened bookings but has not yet announced the final Nepal price.
The Sierra.ev stands out with its modern SUV design and premium cabin. It is also Tata’s largest electric SUV offering in Nepal. Tata is also displaying the updated Punch EV and Tiago EV.
JAECO J5 Pro
The JAECOO J5 Pro has also attracted strong interest at the show. SPG Automobiles is offering the model with a special NADA discount. Its combination of SUV styling, features and competitive pricing has made it popular among visitors.
Other models from the OMODA and JAECOO lineup are also receiving attention.
Chery Q
The Chery Q is another crowd-puller at the exhibition. The model is also known internationally as the Chery QQ3. It entered the Nepali market through SPG Automobiles and was first showcased at the NAIMA Nepal Mobility Expo.
Its compact crossover design, features and competitive price have helped it attract buyers looking for an affordable EV.
Arcfox T1
The Arcfox T1 is also getting strong attention at the show. Laxmi Motorhub launched the model in Nepal in two variants. The LV2 is priced at Rs 3.296 million, while the LV3 costs Rs 3.596 million.
The compact EV combines a premium-looking design with a relatively affordable price. Its feature list has also helped attract visitors.
Proton e.MAS 5
The Proton e.MAS 5 has also emerged as an attraction at the show. Jagdamba Motors has positioned the electric hatchback as an affordable EV with modern features. The model uses a rear-mounted electric motor and is available with different battery and motor options.
Its rear-wheel-drive setup, features and pricing have helped it gain attention among younger buyers and EV customers.
Other brands
Apart from these models, several other stalls are also seeing strong visitor traffic. Hyundai, Leapmotor, MG, Wuling, iCAUR, OMODA, JAECOO, Suzuki, Ora and Skywell have attracted visitors with their new and recently launched models.
With new launches, price cuts and NADA-exclusive offers, the exhibition has become an important platform for buyers ahead of the festive season.
The growing number of EVs has also made this year’s show more competitive. Buyers now have more choices across the affordable, mid-range and premium segments.
