KATHMANDU: The Jetour T2 has finally arrived in Nepal after facing several delays. Laxmi MotorHub, part of the Laxmi Group, has brought the SUV to Nepal.
The T2 was initially expected to arrive in Nepal in August. However, delays in customs clearance prevented the company from displaying it at the NAIMA Mobility Expo, despite booking a stall for the model.
The company had also planned to showcase the T2 at the NADA Auto Show, but that plan did not materialize. The SUV had reached the customs yard when the Bhotekoshi flood swept away vehicles stored there.
Laxmi MotorHub then restarted the import process and brought the T2 into Nepal through the Korala border. The SUV has now arrived in Kathmandu.
The Jetour T2 combines a rugged design with off-road capability and modern technology. It measures 4,785 mm in length, 2,006 mm in width and 1,875 mm in height. It has a 2,800 mm wheelbase and offers 580 liters of boot space.
The T2 will be available in Nepal as a hybrid SUV with an all-wheel-drive system. It also gets a 360-degree surround-view camera and a transparent chassis view system to assist with parking and off-road driving.
Safety features include autonomous emergency braking, adaptive cruise control, traffic jam assist, lane keep assist, front and rear parking sensors, a 360-degree camera and six airbags.
The SUV features LED lighting, 20-inch alloy wheels, a boxy and muscular design, a panoramic glass roof, power-folding door mirrors and connected LED tail lamps.
Inside, the T2 gets a 15.6-inch infotainment screen, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster and 12-speaker audio system. Other features include wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, dual-zone climate control and electrically adjustable front seats with memory function.
The front seats also get heating and ventilation functions. Laxmi MotorHub has yet to announce the official price and final specifications of the Jetour T2 in Nepal.
