KATHMANDU: BYD’s premium brand Denza has revealed four interior color options for its all-new N8 electric SUV ahead of its presales opening in China on October 26, 2026. The five-seat SUV is scheduled to launch in November.

The new Denza N8 features a premium cabin with a 1.1-metre panoramic head-up display (PHUD) and a 30-inch central touchscreen. The interior also includes wood trim, concealed air-conditioning vents, and a floating centre console with a crystal-style drive selector.

The Denza N8 will be available with four cabin color themes: Moon over Empty Mountain, Morning Mist Beige, Dawn Red, and Evening Plain Brown.

Moon over Empty Mountain combines light beige and deep blue. Morning Mist Beige features an all-beige interior, while Dawn Red uses warm reddish upholstery. Evening Plain Brown gets a darker brown finish.

The cabin also features door-mounted control panels that integrate speakers and seat-adjustment controls.

The Denza N8 measures 5,150 mm in length, 1,999 mm in width, and 1,820 mm in height. It has a wheelbase of 3,075 mm.

Unlike the six-seat Denza N8L, the all-electric N8 features a two-row, five-seat layout. The larger N8L measures 5,200 mm in length and shares the same wheelbase.

According to Chinese regulatory filings, the Denza N8 will be available in rear-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive configurations.

The flagship all-wheel-drive version uses BYD’s e3 drive system, with one front motor and two rear motors. The setup delivers a combined output of 890 kW, equivalent to around 1,193 hp.

The electric SUV will offer battery packs with capacities of 105.792 kWh and 130.15 kWh. Both use BYD’s second-generation Blade Battery technology.

Denza claims a maximum driving range of 1,003 km under the China Light-Duty Vehicle Test Cycle (CLTC). This is equivalent to approximately 820 km under the WLTP cycle, based on an estimated conversion.

The Denza N8 also features high-speed charging technology. The company claims the battery can charge from 10% to 70% in five minutes and from 10% to 97% in nine minutes.

At temperatures as low as -30°C, charging times reportedly increase by around three minutes. Actual charging performance will depend on charger capacity and operating conditions.

The official launch is scheduled for November, when the company is expected to announce pricing. The brand is already available in Nepal through authorized distributor Cimex Inc.
