KATHMANDU:  Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli will unveil Nepal’s first Deepal flying taxi at the NADA Auto Show 2025. The event begins tomorrow and is expected to draw significant attention.

The flying taxi is an EVTOL (Electric Vertical Take-off and Landing) aircraft. It is being introduced by MAW Vriddhi in partnership with Chinese auto manufacturer Changan Auto. This is the first time such technology will be showcased in Nepal.

Alongside the flying taxi, MAW Vriddhi will also present life-sized humanoid robots. These robots will interact with visitors and display human-like movements and communication.

This year, the NADA Auto Show is focusing on future mobility and clean energy. The presence of flying taxis and robots signals a shift towards smart and sustainable transport solutions.

Deepal and Avatr, two emerging EV brands, will also display a strong range of electric vehicles. Featured models include the Deepal S05, S07 ICA, E07 and the premium Avatr 11. The Deepal S05, which launched in Nepal last week, has already gained attention for its design, features, and comfort.

Visitors can explore the full range of Deepal EVs at stalls A1 and A2.

“NADA Auto Show has always been a platform for innovation,” said Vivek Sikaria, Managing Director of MAW Vriddhi. “This year marks a new chapter with the flying taxi, humanoid robots and advanced electric vehicles.”

The exhibition is set to be a landmark moment for Nepal’s growing interest in clean energy and future mobility.
