KATHMANDU: Chinese premium electric vehicle brand AVATR has brought its new AVATR 07 SUV to Nepal for testing purposes. The model has been imported by CG MAW Evolution Pvt Ltd, the official distributor of AVATR vehicles in Nepal.
The company said the AVATR 07 is currently undergoing customs clearance. For the clearance process, the company has published a maximum retail price of Rs 11 million.
According to company sources, the SUV has been imported only for testing. Official sales are planned to begin in the second quarter of 2026.
“We have brought the AVATR 07 only for testing at this stage. Sales will not start immediately. The plan is to begin sales by the second quarter of 2026,” a company source told MeroAuto.
AVATR is already selling the AVATR 11 in the Nepali market. The new urban SUV AVATR 07 is powered by a 190 kW electric motor.
The rear-wheel-drive AVATR 07 comes with an 82 kWh LFP battery, offering a CLTC-certified range of up to 650 km on a single charge. The SUV can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.3 seconds.
In terms of dimensions, the AVATR 07 measures 4,825 mm in length, 1,980 mm in width, and 1,620 mm in height, with a wheelbase of 2,940 mm.
Safety features include nine standard airbags, 27 advanced sensors, LiDAR, a 360-degree camera, and IP68-rated waterproof battery protection.
