Avatr 12 makes its China debut, rockets from 0-100 km/h in just 2.71 seconds

KATHMANDU: Avatr 12 has been officially launched on April 8 in China. The model is available in seven variants, priced from USD 42,600 to USD 62,900.

The sedan comes standard with Huawei Qiankun ADS and features an advanced 896-line LiDAR setup.

The Avatr 12 retains its original design with minor updates. It gets a roof-mounted LiDAR, additional sensors, and smart indicator lights. It measures 5,020 mm in length with a 3,020 mm wheelbase.

Inside, the car features a HarmonyOS-based cockpit. Key highlights include a 35.4-inch display, a 15.6-inch central screen, and digital side mirror displays.

Front seats come with heating, ventilation, and massage functions. Zero-gravity seating is also available.

The Avatr 12 is offered in both extended-range and pure electric versions.

The top-spec three-motor AWD variant produces up to 712 kW and 996 Nm. It can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 2.71 seconds.

The EV version offers up to 735 km range (CLTC). The extended-range version delivers up to 1,260 km combined range. The pure EV uses a 98 kWh CATL Qilin battery. It supports fast charging from 30% to 80% in around 10 minutes.

The sedan comes with multiple sensors including LiDAR, radars, and cameras for advanced driver assistance. It also features a 25-speaker premium audio system and multiple airbags.

The Avatr 12 focuses on high performance, long range, and advanced intelligent driving features.

Chinese premium electric vehicle brand AVATR is available in the local market through CG MAW Evolution Pvt. Ltd., the official distributor of AVATR vehicles in the country.
