Refreshed Volkswagen Taigun spotted before official debut

KATHMANDU: Volkswagen India has released the first teaser of the updated Taigun. The facelifted SUV is set to launch on April 9, 2026.

The teaser shows the SUV’s side profile. The updated model will get a redesigned front fascia with new LED headlamps connected by an LED light bar.

At the rear, it will feature reworked LED taillights with a full-width light bar. Revised bumpers with faux skid plates and illuminated VW logos at both ends are also expected.

Inside, the Taigun facelift may get updated upholstery and trims. It could also feature a larger 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Additional features may include ventilated front seats and a panoramic sunroof.

The SUV is expected to continue with the existing 1.0-liter and 1.5-liter turbo-petrol engines. A 6-speed manual will remain standard. The 1.5-liter engine will be paired with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic, while a new 8-speed automatic could also be introduced.
