KATHMANDU: Skoda’s official distributor in Nepal, MAW Nepal, has rolled out a limited-time offer on the Kushaq SUV that includes two years of free petrol along with an easier financing option for buyers.
Under the offer, customers who purchase the Kushaq will receive a total of 2,000 liters of free petrol over two years, worth around Rs 400,000 at current market rates. The company has said that customers who do not wish to take the petrol can instead avail an equivalent discount of the same amount on the vehicle’s price.
MAW Nepal is also offering more flexible financing for buyers interested in the Kushaq. Corporate buyers can purchase the SUV with a down payment of just 20 percent, although this facility applies only to company purchases.
Individual buyers, on the other hand, will still need to pay a 40 percent down payment. With the Kushaq’s starting price at Rs 5.79 million, an individual buyer would need to pay an initial down payment of Rs 2.316 million. A corporate buyer, by contrast, would only need to pay 20 percent or Rs 1.158 million with the remaining amount available as a loan.
At the front, the Kushaq gets Skoda’s signature butterfly grille, now wider and finished in a dark chrome, glossy black treatment, along with an LED light bar and updated LED headlamps and DRLs.
Depending on the variant, the SUV rides on newly designed 16-inch or 17-inch alloy wheels. At the rear, it features a new connected LED tail-light bar and a sporty rear diffuser.
Inside the cabin, the Kushaq offers a large 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system along with an 8-inch driver display. The front seats come with ventilation and power adjustment, while other premium touches include dual-tone ambient lighting, electric and ventilated front seats, and a massage function for the rear seats.
The Skoda Kushaq measures 4,229 mm in length, 1,760 mm in width and 1,612 mm in height, with a 2,651 mm wheelbase.
The SUV is offered with two engine options, a 1.0-liter TSI petrol engine and a 1.5-liter TSI engine. The smaller engine produces a maximum of 115 PS and 178 Nm of torque, and is available with a 6-speed manual or an 8-speed torque-converter automatic gearbox.
The larger engine, meanwhile, delivers 150 PS and 250 Nm of torque, paired with either a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed automatic gearbox.
On safety, the Skoda Kushaq comes equipped with six airbags, ABS, multi-collision braking, hill-hold control and a tire pressure monitoring system, among other features.
