KATHMANDU: Skoda’s updated Kushaq facelift is set to enter the Nepali market soon. MAW Skoda has started preparations to begin sales of the new Kushaq, which comes with several design and feature upgrades.

The facelift version retains the same platform and engine setup as the first-generation Kushaq but receives updates in exterior design, cabin features, and equipment. The new model gets a redesigned front grille, updated LED lights, and new alloy wheel design.

The Kushaq facelift also features an updated infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, panoramic sunroof, and a massage function in the top variant. The major mechanical update is the introduction of a new 8-speed automatic gearbox.

The SUV continues with the same 1.0-liter TSI turbo-petrol engine. The engine produces 115 PS of power and 178 Nm of torque. It will be available with a 6-speed manual gearbox, while the automatic variant gets the new 8-speed transmission.

The updated gearbox is expected to improve driving experience and efficiency. The 1.0-liter TSI engine offers strong low-end torque, making it suitable for city driving as well as highway and hill roads.

For Nepal’s road conditions, the Kushaq remains a practical SUV with its power delivery, ground clearance, size, and driving dynamics. It comes with 188 mm of ground clearance, helping it handle speed breakers, uneven roads, and rough surfaces with more confidence.

The Kushaq is also known for its driving stability, steering feel, and cabin quality. These characteristics continue in the facelift model.

The interior receives major updates with a more premium cabin experience. The SUV gets a digital cluster, updated infotainment system, panoramic sunroof, dual-tone ambient lighting, electric and ventilated front seats, and rear-seat massage function.

On the exterior, the overall silhouette remains similar, but the front design has been updated. The SUV now follows Skoda’s modern design language with a revised grille, new LED headlamps, and updated daytime running lights.

The front bumper has been redesigned for a sharper look, while the SUV also gets new 17-inch dual-tone alloy wheels and updated rear tail lamps.

MAW Skoda plans to start selling the new Kushaq in Nepal within the month of July. The company has not revealed the pricing details yet.
