KATHMANDU: Aucwell, a Chinese commercial vehicle manufacturer, has entered the Nepali market by appointing EV Go Nepal Pvt. Ltd. as its official distributor.
Aucwell is known for producing electric microbuses, vans, and pickups and has nearly two decades of experience in China. The company has expanded its focus on electric vehicles in recent years and sells its products in more than 70 countries.
In Nepal, EV Go Nepal will first introduce Aucwell’s 11, 14 and 16-seater electric vans and microbuses. Larger 19, 25 and 26-seater electric buses will follow.
The company also plans to bring cargo vans, pickups and medium-sized electric trucks depending on market demand.
Aucwell’s manufacturing facility is located in Fujian Province, with its headquarters in Shandong. The company operates its own R&D center and also produces spare parts, which it claims are more affordable than those of other Chinese EV brands.
EV Go Nepal is building a service center in Kathmandu to support Aucwell vehicles. The distributor plans to expand service facilities to major cities and ensure the availability of spare parts as sales grow.
