KATHMANDU: French automaker Citroen has significantly reduced the price of its sub-four-meter SUV, the C3, in the Nepali market.

Shangrila Motors, the official dealer for Citroen in Nepal, announced a revised offer price of Rs 2.99 million, down by Rs 651,000.

Alongside the price drop, Citroen is providing additional benefits for customers, including one-year free insurance on every purchase made at the new price point.

Hemant Golchha, Managing Director of Shangrila Motors, said the offer aims to make European cars more accessible by providing a feature-rich vehicle at a competitive price.

The Citroen C3 comes with a host of attractive features, including a large 10-inch touchscreen, dual-tone dashboard and electrically adjustable ORVMs.

Design-wise, the compact SUV features a stylish crossover look with a split headlamp setup, hexagonal air intake, colored accents and black body cladding.

Under the hood, the C3 is powered by a 1.2-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine, delivering 82 PS of power and 115 Nm of torque.

The revised pricing has also reduced financing costs for buyers. Customers can choose a 60:40 loan scheme, where 40 % is paid upfront and 60 % is financed. At a 7 % interest rate, monthly installments become more affordable.

Notably, the petrol variant of the Citroen C3 is now much more affordable than the electric version.

The EV is priced at Rs 3.95 million, making the petrol variant around Rs 1 million cheaper under the new pricing scheme.
