KATHMANDU: Nepal Oil Corporation has once again increased the prices of petroleum products.
According to the corporation, petrol prices have gone up by Rs 17 per liter, while diesel/kerosene has increased by Rs 25 per liter. The price of cooking LPG has also been raised by Rs 100 per cylinder.
With the latest revision, the retail price of petrol has reached Rs 219 per liter. Diesel and kerosene are now priced at Rs 207 per liter, while LPG is set at Rs 2,010 per cylinder.
The government had recently announced a 50 percent waiver on customs duty and infrastructure development tax on petroleum products.
However, the corporation stated that the adjustment was necessary as the losses could not be offset even after the tax relief.
