KATHMANDU: Geely will introduce Google Gemini, Google Maps and Google Play in its vehicles across overseas markets from the second half of 2027.

Geely Holding Group announced a global partnership with Google on October 16, 2026. The partnership aims to develop a digital cockpit ecosystem for Geely’s passenger vehicle brands in international markets where Google services are available, according to global media reports.

The first vehicle equipped with Google services is expected to reach global markets in the second half of 2027. However, the company has not yet disclosed the model.

The integration will allow drivers to use Google Gemini for voice-based assistance, Google Maps for navigation and Google Play to access apps. Drivers will also be able to find destinations, locate nearby charging stations and manage routine tasks through the system.

Geely Holding Group has a wide portfolio of automotive brands. These include Geely, Geely Galaxy, Zeekr, Lynk & Co, Volvo, Polestar, Lotus, Smart, Proton and Riddara, among others.

The company has also been expanding its in-car entertainment capabilities. Its premium brand Zeekr has previously partnered with AirConsole for in-car gaming and 3 Screen Solutions (3SS) to develop a digital media platform based on Android Automotive OS.
