KATHMANDU : Hero MotoCorp’s electric mobility brand Vida has introduced a new Vida VX2 Go FB variant in the Indian market. The new model replaces the removable battery with a fixed battery pack that can be charged directly using a plug.
The Vida VX2 Go FB is priced at 113,000 Indian rupees (ex-showroom) in India.
The new variant comes with a larger 3.1 kWh battery pack, compared to the 2.2 kWh battery offered in the existing VX2 Go model. According to the company, the battery delivers an IDC-certified range of 128 km on a full charge.
Power comes from the same 6 kW swingarm-mounted electric motor used in the standard VX2 Go. The scooter has a claimed top speed of 70 km/h.
The VX2 Go FB features a 4.3-inch TFT instrument cluster with Bluetooth smartphone connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation. Other highlights include fast-charging support, 27.2 liters of under-seat storage, a long single-piece seat, full LED lighting, OTA updates, smartphone app support, Combined Braking System (CBS), reverse mode, a charging port, alloy wheels, telescopic front forks, and a rear monoshock.
With the launch of the fixed-battery version, the Vida VX2 lineup is now available in five variants with four battery options in India.
Vida officially entered the Nepali market last week through CG Motors. The company currently offers the VX2 Go and VX2 Plus in Nepal.
The Nepal-spec VX2 Go comes with a 2.2 kWh battery and offers a claimed range of 93 km, while the VX2 Plus features a 4.4 kWh battery with a claimed range of 187 km. The Go is the entry-level model, while the Plus is the top-spec variant.
