KATHMANDU: Honda Motor Company has started public road testing of its upcoming Honda 0 Alpha electric SUV in India as part of its global EV development program.

The company said the vehicle will undergo extensive road trials across different regions of India in the coming months to evaluate performance under various driving and climate conditions.

According to Takashi Nakajima, the testing phase is an important step in Honda’s electrification plan, as India offers diverse road and weather conditions that help assess electric vehicle performance in real-world environments.

The Honda 0 Alpha will be produced at Honda’s Tapukara manufacturing plant in Rajasthan. Honda expects the electric SUV to enter global markets, including Japan, during the 2026-27 fiscal year.
