Hyundai Nepal strengthens grassroots football push with Next Gen Cup

KATHMANDU: Hyundai Nepal, the official distributor of Hyundai vehicles in Nepal through Laxmi Intercontinental Pvt. Ltd., has successfully concluded the Hyundai Next Gen Cup in collaboration with AG10 Academy.

Held at Chyasal Ground in Lalitpur, the one-day U-16 competition featured 80 young players representing eight teams. With football excitement growing worldwide ahead of the FIFA World Cup 2026, Hyundai Nepal said it aims to help future footballers begin their journey from local grounds.

The participating teams included Team Creta Electric, Team Venue, Team IONIQ 5, Team Exter, Team Kona, Team Creta, Team Grand i10 NIOS and Team Palisade.

After a series of competitive matches, Team Venue emerged as the champion, while Team Creta Electric finished as the runner-up.

According to Hyundai Nepal, the tournament provided young players with a platform to showcase their skills in a competitive environment while helping build confidence and strengthen their passion for the sport.

AG10 Academy Director and former Nepal captain Anil Gurung said the tournament inspired young players to dream bigger and pursue their goals.
