KATHMANDU : Laxmi Intercontinental, the authorized distributor of Hyundai vehicles in Nepal, will begin sales of the Nepal-assembled next-generation Hyundai Venue on August 11. The compact SUV will make its market debut at the NAIMA Mobility Expo 2026.

Assembled locally by Laxmi Motor Corporation, the new Venue arrives with a comprehensive update over the outgoing model. The biggest highlight is the introduction of Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS), a first for the venue.

Depending on the variant, the SUV offers features such as a 360-degree camera, drive modes, traction modes, window sunshades, front parking sensors, reclining rear seats, an electronic parking brake, and auto hold.

The top variant is equipped with an eight-speaker Bose audio system, while the dashboard features dual 12.3-inch displays. Hyundai has also retained more physical buttons than before to improve ease of use.

The new Venue continues with 16-inch wheels, although the alloy wheel design is completely new. The front fascia has been redesigned, while the rear also gets a fresh look with extensive use of LED lighting.

There are no mechanical changes. The SUV continues to be offered with 1.2-liter Kappa petrol, 1.0-liter turbo-petrol, and 1.5-liter diesel engines. The 1.2-liter petrol is paired with a 5-speed manual transmission, while the turbo-petrol comes with a 7-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission (DCT). The diesel engine is available with either a 6-speed manual or a 6-speed automatic transmission.

The cabin has also received several upgrades, including ventilated front seats, a fully digital instrument cluster, and a larger touchscreen infotainment system. Higher variants also feature front parking sensors for the first time.

Other highlights include a three-spoke steering wheel, a redesigned center console, and ambient lighting, making the new-generation Venue one of the most feature-rich compact SUVs in its segment.
