KATHMANDU: MAW Vriddhi Autocorp is set to launch the Changan NEVO Q05 in Pokhara this Friday, September 18, followed by a four-day test drive event at the Deepal Pokhara Showroom in Chauthe.
The test drive event will run from September 19-22, giving customers an opportunity to experience the electric SUV firsthand. The NEVO Q05 Ultra will be available in Nepal at a special price of Rs 5.199 million.
The NEVO Q05 is part of Changan’s mainstream new-energy vehicle portfolio and is positioned as a premium urban electric SUV. The model combines a compact exterior with a spacious cabin, featuring a 2,735 mm wheelbase, reclining rear seats and a 540-liter boot.
The SUV is powered by a 120-kW electric motor and comes with a 51.9 kWh CATL LFP battery using Changan’s Golden Shield 2.0 battery technology. It supports 3C fast charging, with peak DC charging capability of up to 162 kW. The company claims the battery can charge from 30% to 80% in around 15 minutes.
The Q05 offers a claimed range of up to 462 km under the NEDC cycle, with energy consumption rated at 12.9 kWh per 100 km.
In terms of design, the Q05 was developed through Changan’s global design network, which includes 915 professionals from 31 countries and regions. The team is led by Changan Global Design Vice-President and former Volkswagen Group design chief Klaus Zyciora. The model has also received a Golden A’ Design Award.
Changan NEVO says cumulative sales of the Q05 crossed 125,000 units by the end of August 2026. The company also claims the model led China’s compact SUV segment for four consecutive months.
